All five preliminary rounds will be held at the Vernon Square Campus of SOAS University (School of Oriental & African Studies - http://www.soas.ac.uk/). Vernon Square Campus is a five minute walk from King's Cross tube station where the following underground lines operate: Circle, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan, Northern, Picadilly and Victoria lines.

Having the preliminary rounds hosted by SOAS University ensures all the debates are held in one building which means minimum prep time is lost in locating rooms. Part of the University of London, SOAS is the world's leading centre for the study of a highly diverse range of subjects concerned with Asia, Africa and the Middle East. The University has more than 4,600 students from 130+ countries, with 45% of them coming from outside of the United Kingdom.

Dartmouth House

The break will be announced at the ESU headquartersDH - Dartmouth House, where we will be holding both Semi-finals and the Grand Final.

Dartmouth House is an important heritage building, noted for its magnificent interior which includes Grand marble fireplaces, Louis Quatorze walnut panelling, a fine French marble Grand Staircase, with a superb painted ceiling by Pierre Victor Galland above. It is located right in the heart of Mayfair.

The nearest underground station (just a couple of minutes walk from Dartmouth House) is Green Park, which is on the Picadilly line, so it is very easily accessible from King's Cross station.

During the lunch break on the second day (Sunday 28th March) participants will make their way from SOAS's Vernon Square campus to Dartmouth House. For directions on how to get from Green Park station to the House, please click on the map link below:
